About
About VA Career Hub
VA Career Hub is a career guide for people who want to work as virtual assistants. We explain how to get started, which skills and tools employers ask for, how to apply and stay safe, and which agencies are good to work for.
Who owns this site
VA Career Hub is published by Outsourcing Insider, which covers the outsourcing and remote-work industry for businesses, agencies and remote professionals. Outsourcing Insider is a VA MASTERS company. VA MASTERS is a managed virtual assistant agency that hires VAs for clients worldwide.
That ownership shows up on this site in two places, and we label both:
- Job openings. The open roles on our jobs and skills pages are VA MASTERS roles. Each one links to its page on vamasters.com, where you apply.
- Agency rankings. VA MASTERS appears in our rankings of agencies to work for, with a "Parent company" label. It's scored with the same published rubric as every other agency, and it doesn't automatically come first.
How we keep it fair
- One published rubric, fixed before any agency was scored, applied to everyone.
- Facts about agencies come from their own public pages and from public employee reviews, each with a source and a check date.
- We don't link out to the agencies we rank, and no agency pays for a place.
- The guides are written for VAs, not to steer you to one employer. Most of them don't mention VA MASTERS at all.
- If we got something wrong, we fix it and log the change.
What we don't do
- We never charge VAs. Not for reading, not for applying, not for being listed.
- We don't take applications. To apply for a role, use the role's own page.
- We don't publish pay figures. VA pay depends on the role, the client and your experience, and averages mislead more than they help. Our pay guide explains how pay works instead.
