Who writes this
The Outsourcing Insider editorial team researches, writes and updates every guide and ranking. Outsourcing Insider is a VA MASTERS company. VA MASTERS' open roles appear on this site and VA MASTERS is ranked in our agency rankings, so we label both wherever they appear. More about ownership.
How we research
- Guides are based on what employers actually ask for: real job posts, hiring processes and the tools in use.
- Facts and figures come from official or primary sources (government agencies, the companies themselves, public review profiles), each with a check date. Sources are named in plain text; we don't link out to companies.
- If something isn't published, we say "Not published" instead of guessing.
- We don't publish pay figures (see how VA pay works).
How we rank agencies
One published rubric, written from the VA's point of view and fixed before scoring, applied to every agency, VA MASTERS included. No agency pays for a place, and no payment would change a score.
Updates and corrections
- Guides and rankings show when they were last updated. We re-check agency facts at least every three months.
- The job list is refreshed from VA MASTERS' public careers pages each time the site is rebuilt.
- Anyone can ask for a correction. We check it against the source and log every change on the corrections page.
