What the work looks like

Creative roles cover social graphics, presentations, brand assets, short-form video, YouTube editing and motion design. Some companies pair you with one client; others run you through a queue of requests from many clients.

What to check before you apply

  1. Whether you work with one client or a queue of many (very different days)
  2. Turnaround expectations and revision rounds
  3. Which tools they use (Canva, Adobe, Figma, Premiere, CapCut)
  4. Reviews about workload, deadlines and feedback culture

And never pay to apply: real agencies are paid by their clients. See how to spot a fake offer.

Questions people ask

Can I get a remote design job with only Canva skills?

Yes, in social media and content roles. Many dedicated design roles also ask for Adobe or Figma. A strong portfolio matters more than the tool list.

What do creative agencies test?

Usually a short design or editing brief that mirrors the real work, judged on quality, following the brief, and turnaround.

Scores blend our six-criteria rubric (70%) with fit for this field (30%). We don't score pay. Facts are as published by each agency and on Indeed and Glassdoor, checked in October 2026. Spotted an error? Tell us.
